Setting up Outlook Express
Retrieving your Email with Outlook Express

We recommend that you use Outlook Express – Help – Contents and Index to answer any questions you may have about using Outlook Express.

The following information will help you set up your email.
More specific assistance can be requested by sending mail to support via the web form.
Additionally, you can log into the webmail interface with just email address and password.

After you get started, you’ll find there are many ways to tailor Outlook Express to your requirements. Look in the Help Contents for ideas.

Setting up your Email Address:
  1. On the Tools menu, click Accounts.
  2. Click Add.
  3. Click on Mail.



  4. Next, enter your name as you would like it to appear on your email.



  5. Next, enter your email address.
    If you have your own domain, this would be something like info@yourcompany.com.
    If you are a solidnet dialup customer your email address will be similar to youraccountname@solidweb.net.




  6. Enter in your email-server addresses.
    If you are a SolidNet dialup customer, put in mail@solidweb.com for both entries.
    If you are a web hosting customer, your incoming mail server will be mail.yourdomain.com. You will need to contact your local ISP for an outbound mail relay.




  7. Finally, enter your login name and password. Your login name will match the first part of your email address. I.e. yourname from "yourname@solidweb.com".
